# Licenses and credits

The gallery's own HTML, CSS, JavaScript, validation script and documentation are MIT-licensed (see `LICENSE`). This does not relicense the downloadable Xbox executables, Xbox branding, original boot assets or screenshots/recordings of them.

The publisher explicitly confirmed separate permission to publish the finished XEX files. This statement records the publisher's supplied authorization; the MIT license is not a grant of redistribution rights for Microsoft software. Recipients remain responsible for applicable separate terms.

The original boot renderer, logo, lettering, assets and Xbox 360 marks belong to Microsoft. Still and motion previews show modified versions of that boot sequence, recorded with Xenia. Native Boot Studio color editions, Vesper / Vesper Flow geometry and shaders, Blue Nexus modifications, and the original Deep Orbit / Prism Resonance soundtracks are the project's contributions.

**Mena** created `remap_bootanim_17559.bin`, as expressly credited by the [Xbox360BootAnimationCreator release](https://github.com/TheOnlyLordVirus/Xbox360BootAnimationCreator/releases/tag/Release). **TheOnlyLordVirus** publishes that project and the documented HDD-remap installation method. The patch is linked, not bundled or relicensed here.

**Xenia contributors** provide the independent emulator used for native previews. **xorloser** authored XexTool used in the export workflow. Neither tool nor an Xbox SDK is bundled. FFmpeg was used during preparation to encode web preview recordings; no FFmpeg binary is included.

This gallery does not claim credit for the original Xbox boot animation or the HDD remap and does not imply affiliation or endorsement by Microsoft, Mena, TheOnlyLordVirus, xorloser or the Xenia project.
